so here's whats up..

we have a facebook 'fan page' here

a myspace page here

and a blog of which you are currently on.

we have signed off on Modern Grave + If the Coughing Fits, both of which can be streamed on those respective 'social networking' sites.

we're currently working on a couple of other song's which we haven't properlly demo'd before. So unless you've heard REALLY rough copies we have, or have been to one of our few shows or sat in on us fucking around/jamming, you have yet to hear them....

what we're working on is...

a thousand smiles. a michael crumpton sung/written song. its super lush and has a 'soaring chorus'. buzzing lead guitars cut in and out, drone-y rhythm guitars and organs, and a finishing drum peice that greg lyons recorded that explodes with tribal like drumming. we're excited about this one.

absinthe makes the heart grow fonder.
Michael newton primarily sings this one. very three chord punk rock with a surf-rock inspired lead, including a mid song guitar/organ freakout and an ending reminiscent of the bay city rollers 'Saturday night' no shit.

i am (working title?)
is another one we have played at shows that very recently has been given a major reworking. carefully selected chordings backed by shoegazey reverb and tremolo heavy lead pieces. Michael c sings this one too in what i (Michael newton) feel may be some of his strongest lyrical work to date (imo!).

brushing yr hair and soft suicide are both old songs michael newton wrote and recorded that are being given a full genes rework. both have electronic elements.

fell in love (working title) is a stomp-y dirty rock piece. the newest of our songs.

augusta wall's was played at Eric's Halloween party. its got another big chorus and revolves are fast chord changes. defiantly one of our most up-tempo songs.

ugly playgrounds is a dark distortion soaked song, with a undoubtedly johhny marr on strangeways here we come inspired exiting guitar line.

and then there are at least 8 or 10 others that are in pieces right now, waiting to get put together.

so as you can tell, we're really fucking busy working on all of that.
if you're in toronto this saturday, check out our buddies in believe berlin and corduroy at the elmocombo and say hi. dance electric are playing too and they've been awesome for years.

anyway,
keep in touch.

just finished wrapping up recording for the seven inch a few minutes ago. we're looking into what's best for hosting the songs online for streaming.. myspace sure seems to cut out the quality of them. as of now we're waiting for authorization for a facebook 'fan' page.. yadda yadda.

of course when we get the records back, we'll let you know where you can pick them up.

as for what's next, as you can see (if you squint) in this image, we have a tonne of other shit to move on to. honestly, like another 16 or so tracks on the go. we're not going to slow down, and i dont think we can count how many packs of cigarettes or bottles of wine we have consumed finishing this record.

for kicks, check out this video from 5 years ago of the two mike's in one of their old groups.
